what’s on my mind …
WHO I AM
Hello! I’m Lee (here with Finn and Tucker) and I’m happy to share my stories and projects with you.
I’m regularly challenged by my curiosity to learn, see and do new things while at the same time, I’m equally content to revel in the comfort of practices I was fortunate to discover over the years.
I’m both lucky and grateful that I have the freedom to follow pursuits that bring me knowledge and joy, primarily through writing and photography.
I’m the embodiment of the idea we will never be fully formed; our situations and experiences influence our evolution. I am (happy to be) a wonder in progress. I hope to have you join me on my journey.
THIS I KNOW TO BE TRUE
“The women whom I love and admire for their strength and grace did not get that way because shit worked out. They got that way because shit went wrong, and they handled it. They handled it in a thousand different ways on a thousand different days, but they handled it. Those women are my superheroes.”
– Elizabeth Gilbert –
I’m grateful to be included in the
company of superheroes - are you one of them?
Starting on Samhain, Sunday, 31 October, I will be hosting gentle and steady gatherings of women at my home, the recently retitled “MoonDance”. These gatherings will follow the flow of the New Moon, Full Moon and Sabbats. If you are looking for elevated conversations and some gratitude exploration, please join in. Specifics can be found on the calendar. Limit: 8
We all have stories in us, which makes us who we are as connected members of the human race.
At the same time, our stories are what make each of us unique. I share my stories and look to engage in elevated conversations via my online journal. By writing my thoughts down, I can sort out how I feel about specific ideas and situations. Like the many rocks and pebbles found on our Lake Huron shore, no two are alike and there are plenty to be found!
Look to join me and others in local photo walks – in good and in challenging weather.
We live in such a photogenic community; our walks will be a simple no-pressure opportunity to train your eye – nothing technical! If you want to get out and explore the local beauty and have a camera, think about joining in. All levels welcome. Specifics can be found on the calendar. NOTE: The badder the weather, the better the photos!
Upcoming lunar activities + events, let’s gather to honour
I follow the ebb and flow of the phases of the moon and the Sabbats of the Wheel of the Year. It’s a gentle and natural way of marking time and honouring this life we’ve been given. You’re welcome to follow along, or better yet, join in!
